My BIG Year- Vision 2016!

2015 Year End Review (a Not-to-be-Missed Event!)

I once read that the people who are most successful at manifestation are those that have a clear sense of where they’ve been, where they are now, and where they want to go.

The end of December is a perfect time to take a few days to reflect on your year, an important activity if you’re interested in moving forward in 2016. Follow these steps to lovingly honor the year that just passed and openly embrace the incredible year to come!

The Year End Review has become one of my favorite things to do each year!

Collect Your Records

Sometimes when we think back on our year we forget how much has really happened. Do you catch yourself thinking, “Huh. I think it was a pretty boring year”?

It wasn’t! If I know anything about life, it’s not “boring” for very long. This is why, before you sit down to do your 2015 Year in Review, you’ll need a few things to help you remember what went down. Here are some suggestions:

  • Your Journal
  • Your Calendar
  •  Photos from your Phone
  • Social Media Accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.)

Collect Your Thoughts

Start going through these records and as you go through them, write down the highlights of the year. I’d be willing to bet that there were highlights that you might not have even noticed! For instance, maybe in your journal you’ll discover that you were really stumped by a big problem in May that completely resolved itself by September.

Highlights might include places you’ve traveled, friends you made, big life events or even little things (for one of my friends, a highlight was finally cutting the caffeine habit! She felt so much calmer every day since she didn’t have four cups of coffee running through her body).

It’s even important to make note of painful memories. If you lost someone that was close to you, were let go from your job, or had to say goodbye to a good friend, those are all important life events, too, and shouldn’t be excluded – even though they may hurt.

Collect Your Observations

At this point, you can ask yourself some questions about the year: What did you learn this year from the struggles? What did you accomplish? How did you grow?

It’s okay to take some time with this process. Likely, things will occur to you days or even weeks after you’ve reviewed your year, and that’s great.

Once you have a clear picture of what your year was like it will be easy to create your future. With all the information you have on hand (including where you would like to see yourself) you will easily be able to feel what you wish had occurred during the year and what you want to focus on next.
